Abstract The current study is concerned with syntheses, characterization and catalytic as well as biological applications of four metal organic frameworks MOFs) and their nanosized particles; 3[Cu(CN)2(Me3Sn)(pyz)], MOF1 MOF1\,[CuII(Pca)2(H2O)2]; MOF 2, nanosized2, [Cu2(CN)3(Ph3Sn)Pyz], MOF3 and [Cu2(CN)4(Ph3Sn)(Pyzca)2], MOF4 based on CuI, CuII and bridging heterocyclic ligands pyrazine (pyz) and pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid pyz2-ca), (Me3Sn)+ or (Ph3Sn)+ cations in addition to CN ion as pseudohalide co-ligand. The structures of these MOFs are characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction or molecular modiling, elemental analyses, spectroscopic methods, powder x-ray diffraction (PXRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM analysis. The catalytic and photo-catalytic of MOF1 and MOF 2 and their nanosized samples in presence of H2O2 are investigated. |
