Abstract The thesis is presented as the following. We introduced a survey on some methods for generalizing probability distributions in order to increase their flexibility. One of this methods called T-X method which was used to derive Fr´echet-Weibull distribution as a random variable T follows Fr´echet and a random variable X follows Weibull distribution. Also, we introduced a truncated version of Fr´echet-Weibull distribution which is an extension of that distribution and we studied its truncation value as a fixed value, and as parametric value in application. Then, we presented a mixture distribution called Fr´echet-Weibull mixture exponential distribution. Statistical properties of these distributions were derived. Randomly generated data was studied to show the behavior of the estimated parameters as it converges to the true value in all cases when the sample size increases for all distributions by maximum likelihood method. We provided applications to real data sets to show the superiority of proposed distribution compared with other related distributions. |
