Abstract Oral Lichen Planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory condition implicating T cell-mediated cytotoxicity, and involving oral mucosal surfaces. Treatment of symptomatic OLP remains a challenging problem therefore corticosteroids are the mainstay for treatment and have its own side effects. Many previous studies have suggested that low level laser therapy (LLLT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) have a potential therapeutic role in management of OLP as it has analgesic effect and accelerate healing. to evaluate clinically and immunologically the effect of diode laser with and without photosensitizer versus topical corticosteroid mouthwash in the management of patients with atrophic-erosive OLP. |
