Abstract Racial oral pigmentation is often multifocal or diffuses, and are more commonly seen in dark skinned individuals since infancy, gingival pigmentation in these individuals occurs within three hours after birth, genetic gingival pigmentation does not usually occur in Caucasians such as the Swedish and German populations or the Japanese, oral pigmentation in these individuals is mainly secondary to smoking, drug intake or some other factors. |
