Abstract
The present study was carried out during the three successive seasons, i.e. 2015/2016, 2016/2017and 2017/2018 at Assiut –Arab Alawamir Agriculture research Station, Agriculture Research Center (ARC), Ministry of Agriculture, Egypt.
The objectives of this study were:
• Study the genetic system controlling morphological traits, yield and its components. The mean performance of the parents, F1, F2, BC1 and BC2 of three bread wheat crosses. In addition, test the types of gene action, heterosis, inbreeding depression, heritability and expected genetic advance.
• To study the genotype x environment interaction and stability analysis for yield and some its related traits.
Two experiments were cultivated under recommended conditions November 25the and heat stress conditions 25 the of December and the statistical design used for each experiment was a randomized complete block with three replicates in the first experiment and four replicates in the second experiment in the three growing seasons.
The traits studied are:
1- Morphological characteristics.
Days to heading, days to maturity, plant height and spike length.
2- The yield and its components include.
Number of spikes / plant, number /of spike grains, 100-KW, biological yield per plant, grain yield per plant and harvest index%.
