المستخلص

During the study period, Iran was a victim of the strategic interests of the major countries by virtue of its strategic position on the one hand, and the wrong policies of its rulers on the other hand, and it was a scene of competition and conflict between the major countries, in addition to its exposure to the Anglo-Soviet invasion and the accompanying important developments, chiefly the removal of Reza Shah from The throne, and the Soviet policies that supported the rebellion of ethnic minorities and their support for the secession of Azerbaijan from the Iranian north, as well as the existence of close relations between the Tudeh Communist Party in Iran and the Soviet Union and the effect of this on the policy of the Soviet Union towards Iran, as well as that Iran was the first country to nationalize oil in the Middle East, which It won Soviet blessing and thus caused tension in the oil relations between the West and Iran. The blatant intervention of the Soviets in Iran also played an important role in polarizing the United States as a superpower on the international stage, and Washington tried to compete with both Moscow and London to gain a foothold in Iran, which is one of the arenas of the conflict between the two superpowers, the Soviet Union and the United States, which tried to appear Defender of Iran’s rights, this rivalry that paved the way with other factors for the start of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States on Iranian soil.
