Abstract The goal of this study was to evaluate and compare the sexual function between pregnant and non-pregnant women and to determine factors affecting it. This study was conducted on 40 candidates divided into two groups (pregnant women and non-pregnant women), all candidates recruited from gynecology & obstetrics clinic, Suez Canal hospital. Each woman was interviewed to answer three questionnaires, first about socio-demographic data, second about female sexual function using FSFI and third about psychological health using DASS-21 scale. Comparison was done between pregnant and non-pregnant women as regards FSFI domains, DASS-21 score and hormone. It was found that female sexual function is affected in pregnancy period and lower scores of FSFI domains were in third trimester. |
