Abstract
UC is idiopathic, chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterized by recurring episodes of mucosal inflammation limited to the colon. UC is characterized by periods of relapse and remission presenting with bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, urgency, and tenesmus. Diagnosis of UC usually depend on the combination of; clinical symptoms, laboratory findings, radiology, endoscopy, and biopsyhistology.
