Abstract
The regulatory authorities responsible for the issuance of building licenses in Egypt are
still conducting the process of matching the drawings manually. This research study
presents how to conduct an automated compliance process using (BIM) for residential
buildings in Egypt. A model was used to conduct the automated compliance process
according to the requirements of the unified Egyptian building law. The automated
compliance model was applied to the residential building as a case study. Based on the
analysis of the results of the questionnaires, engineers need to increase their information
on BIM as well as the process of automated compliance and hope to implement the
automated compliance process soon.
