المستخلص
The current research discuss the role of the stock exchange in achieving economic development. It identify the origin and nature of the stock exchange. Then explain the role of stock exchange in accumulating savings and using them to finance public and private projects, increasing local and foreign investments and its strict control over the performance of the listed companies. In addition, this research presented the role of the Stock Exchange in Egyptian affairs by monitoring its performance and developments in its trading systems from 2005 to 2019, then presented the role of the stock exchange in the government IPO program in Egypt, and presented the first cases of the program: The Eastern Company for smoking. The research present a questionnaire about the stock exchange’s role in Egyptian economic affairs through three categories: individual investors, trading companies, and investor relations officials for listed companies, then presenting and analyze the questionnaire results. The research was interested in clarifying: The role of the stock exchange in supporting countries’ economies. The role of the Stock Exchange in financing public and private projects. Corporate governance and the role of the stock exchange in its implementation. The impact of the Egyptian Stock Exchange on the Egyptian economy. Initial Public Offering (IPO) program in Egypt.
