Abstract Twelve metal complexes of hydrazone derivatives (2-(2-aminobenzoyl)-N-ethylhydrazine-1-carbothioamide, N-benzyl-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-pyrazole-4-carbothioamide and N’1,N’3-di-isonicotinoylmalono- hydrazide) with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) acetates have been synthesized. The compounds have been characterized by elemental, spectral (IR, UV-Vis, 1H&13C NMR, MS and ESR), magnetic and thermal measurements. The measured optical band gap was determined. Theoretical studies ( molecular modeling) were applied on the ligands and their Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes . Biological Activity (in vitro cytotoxic activity against the examined Hela and WISH cell line) and molecular docking were studied for the ligands and their metal complexes. |
