Abstract

Pb is well known environmental pollutant, which can cause toxic effects in multiple organ systems. Pb originates from various industrial and/or household sources, and enters the body through food and fluid intakes, as well as by inhalation. Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) are an important class of nanomaterials used as antimicrobial agents for a wide range of medical and industrial applications Ag NPs exhibit broad spectrum bactericidal and fungicidal activity that has made them extremely popular in a diverse range of consumerproducts, including plastics, soaps, pastes, food and textiles, increasing their market value.Oats (Avena sativa L.) are distinct among cereals due to their considerably higher protein concentration. At the same timeouts possess a protein quality of high nutritional value and a special protein composition. Most cereals like wheat, barley, and rye have a high percentage of prolamins, the alcohol-soluble fraction, which usually contains most of the storage proteins, but Oats (Avena stavia)are an exception. The latter phytochemicals have recently gained attention as being the precursors of isothiocyanates (ITCs), which are released by myrosinase hydrolysis during cutting, chewing, or processing of the vegetable. The present research aimed to study the protection and improvement role of Oats (Avena stavia) in the physiological, histopathological and immunohistochemical alterations in Pb NPs and Ag NPs induced hepatic and renal toxicity in male rat. The Oats (Avena stavia) had ameliorating impact on liver and kidney. This showed up by histological, immunohistochemical investigation that carried out on liver and kidney of experimental animals.
