Abstract This study aims to investigate the direct and indirect effect of ntrepreneurial leadership and firm growth through the mediating role of green innovation in SMEs in the industrial areas in Gamsah and New Damietta. The study employed a positivism philosophy, deductive approach, and a quantitative research method. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 199 SMEs’ managers. Structural equation modeling was employed to show the causal relationships between study variables. Data were analyzed using AMOS 23. Furthermore, the study provides significant practical implications for the managers of SMEs that may help them to improve the overall performance of their firms. The research findings showed that entrepreneurial leadership (scenario enactment and cast enactment) has a significant direct positive impact on firm growth. Moreover, entrepreneurial leadership (scenario enactment and cast enactment) has a direct and significant positive impact on green innovation (green product innovation and green process innovation). Additionally, the findings also revealed that green innovation (green product innovation and green process innovation significantly and positively affect firm growth. Finally, the results showed that green innovation (green product and process innovation) partially mediates the relationship between scenario enactment and firm growth. Further, the results also revealed that green innovation (green product innovation and green process innovation) bas no mediation effect in the relationship between cast enactment and firm growth. |
