The importance of the study : Highlighting the historical aspects of the city of Chefchaouen, its urban expansion, and its religious buildings ( Mosques and Zawiyas), which were studied in a descriptive and analytical way during the pre-Spanish period, and one of the most important historical periods to which this study was exposed was the period of the rule of the Rashidites (876 - 969 AH / 1560 - 1471 AD), which lasted for nearly a century. Chapter one: The History of Urbanism, the City of Chefchaouen and its Civilization. First section:The history of the city of Chefchaouen from its inception in (876 AH / 1471AD) until the end of the century (13 AH / 19 AD). Second section: Aspects of urbanism and architecture in the city of Chefchaouen. Chapter two: Descriptive Study of Religious Buildings in Chefchaouen First section: Mosques, and their architectural plans Second section : Zawiyas and their architectural plans Chapter three: The analytical study of the architectural and decorative elements First section: Analysis of architectural elements Second section: Analysis of decorative elements. The conclusion of the research was the most important results. Then a list of sources and references.
