المستخلص The study aimed at: Setting up a program based on illustrated story and identifying its impact on developing the receptive and expressive language of a sample of educable children with intellectual deficiency. That required a theoretical study and reviewing previous researches and studies related to the subject of the current study to reach the philosophical foundations on which the study is based in order to develop the receptive and expressive language of educable children with intellectual deficiency. The tools included Stanford Binet Intelligence Scale (Fifth Edition) prepared by Safwat Farag, the Receptive and Expressive Language Test (modified Edition) prepared by Nahla Al- Refa’ie, 2012, the Child’s Preliminary Data Form prepared by the researcher, the Child’s Performance Evaluation Form (Evaluating sessions) prepared by the researcher and the training program prepared by the researcher. The study sample consisted of educable children of intellectual deficiency at childhood stage from the School of Intellectual Education at Al-Mahala AL-Kobra. The lists of the sample were 20 male and female educable children with intellectual deficiency divided into (10) children as a control group and (10) children as an experimental group which was divided into two experimental groups: (5) children as a first experimental receptive group and (5) children as a second experimental expressive group. The results of the study concluded that: The improvement of the receptive and expressive language of the study sample after the application of the training program based on illustrated story. The recommendations and suggestions have been addressed in light of the results reached. |
