 My husband is very jealous of.
 My husband is lying to.
The general results of the study confirmed that there is an indication of the organizational aspect of marital harmony with a weighted average (2.2) and a standard deviation (0.289) represented in the following:
 We disagree with each other about small matters.
 There are many problems between us, and see the reasons.
 We cooperate to face any problem.
 There is an open dialogue between us.
 Each of us is keen to please the other.
 We understand the priorities of spending.
The general results of the study confirmed that there is an indication of the sexual aspect of marital harmony with a weighted average (2.6) and a standard deviation (0.317) represented in the following:
 The sexual relationship is based on noble feelings between us.
 Lack of sexual compatibility is the cause of some of our problems.
 Little information about sexual culture.
 I feel sexual attraction towards my husband.
 See sexual relationship as an obligation to please my husband.
(Proposals to alleviate factors associated with postpartum depression)
 Support parents to the wife in carrying the burdens.
 Correct the wrong culture towards the fetus.
 Seminars to raise awareness of the problems that may face the mother after childbirth.
 Support the husband to the wife during pregnancy and postpartum.
 Consult a doctor or psychologist to avoid falling into depression.
 Establishing a rehabilitation center for couples, induction of family planning.
 Training courses on how to care for the newborn.
 Cooperation between parents in taking responsibility for a new baby.
 Include family life in the curricula of universities.
The general results of the study confirmed that there is a group of social factors that lead to postpartum depression with a weighted average (1.3) and a standard deviation (0.265) represented by the following:
 The low physical level of the family contributes to postpartum depression.
 Customs and traditions play an important role in postpartum depression.
 I see that my husband’s poor cooperation leads to postpartum depression.
 The lack of cultural awareness of the couple’s role in developing postpartum depression.
(Manifestations of postpartum depression)
The general results of the study confirmed that there are manifestations of maternal depression after childbirth with a weighted average (1.8) and a standard deviation (0.277). These manifestations were as follows:
 I am afraid of the future.
 I find it difficult to sleep.
 I was worried for no reason.
 I feel fear or panic for no reason.
 Cry when I’m alone.
(Implications of marital compatibility)
The general results of the study confirmed that there is an indication of the emotional side of marital harmony with a weighted average (2.1) and a standard deviation (0.300) represented in the following:
 I share the opinion when any problem confronts us.
 We understand each other’s feelings.
 I feel happy with my husband.
 I chat freely with my husband.
 I feel understanding with my husband.
 I enjoy spending time with my husband.
The general results of the study confirmed that there is significance for the personal aspect of marital harmony with a weighted average (2.2) and a standard deviation (0.289) represented in the following:
 My husband keeps our secrets.
 I feel bad for my husband to love himself.
 I feel angry at my husband in the simplest of matters.
Ninth: Fields of Study:
(A) Human domain:
- Comprehensive inventory of the social workers working in mental health hospitals and the number (24 social workers).
- Social survey of women with postpartum depression using the sample (30 women).
(B). Spatial domain:
The study will be implemented in Assiut Mental Health Hospitals.
(C) Time domain:
The time period of the current study in both theoretical (from the month of May 2018 to the month of February 2019), and the notch field and come out with the desired results (from the month of March 2019 to a month July 2019).
Tenth: Results of The Study :
(Factors leading to postpartum depression)
The general results of the study confirmed that there is a group of family factors that lead to postpartum depression with a weighted average (1.77) and a standard deviation (0.287) represented by the following:
 find it difficult to talk to my family when I am depressed.
 Childbearing has an effect on postpartum depression.
 The husband’s lack of awareness contributes to his wife’s postpartum depression.
 suffer from a lack of help my husband during my depression.
 Your newborn will feel postpartum depression.
The general results of the study confirmed that there is a group of psychological factors leading to postpartum depression with a weighted average (1.7) and a standard deviation (0.266) represented by the following:
 suffer from constant excitement for the trivial reasons.
 I have a constant feeling of anxiety.
 I am afraid of taking responsibility.
 I suffer from poor ability to focus.
 I suffer from losing my self confidence.

• Sexual aspect.
4 - to reach a proposed vision from the perspective of rational emotional treatment to alleviate the factors associated with postpartum depression in women and their relationship to marital compatibility.
Fourth: Study Questions:
The main question:
What are the factors associated with postpartum depression for women and their relationship to marital Adjustment and Suggested a proposal to mitigate them from perspective of rational Emotive Therapy in Social Case Work?
Sub-questions:
1-What are the factors associated with postpartum depression in women?
2- What is the degree of postpartum depression in women from the feeling of weakness and fatigue and speed of anger and poor appetite or loss of insomnia or excessive sleep?
3- What is the degree of marital compatibility for women with postpartum depression on the personal, emotional, organizational and sexual aspects?
Fifth: Concepts of the study:
This study attempts to clarify the following concepts:
1- The concept of Factors
2 - The concept of postpartum depression.
3 - The concept of marital compatibility.
Sixth: Type of study:
This study belongs to the pattern of descriptive studies as one of the most appropriate studies suitable for the subject of the study.
Seventh: Methodology:
Consistent with the type and objectives of the study, the researcher will use a two-pronged social survey approach: a comprehensive inventory of social workers working in mental health hospitals, and a social sample survey of women with postnatal depression.
Eighth: Study Tools:
1. Questionnaire for social workers working in mental health hospitals
2. A questionnaire form for women with postpartum depression to identify the factors that lead to postpartum depression
3. Scale for Depression and Intervention According to the Edinburgh Scale for Postpartum Depression Crying, Grief, Laughter, Self Blame by Cox J Holden.
4. A measure of marital compatibility and its interpersonal, emotional, personal, organizational, and sexual aspects
3- Lack of social studies and research that dealt with factors associated with postpartum depression in women and their relationship to marital compatibility in social work in general and
4- case work in particular within the limits of science researcher in Egyptian society.
5- Awareness of specialists and surrounding women with postpartum depression need to support them and ensure them and help them to overcome this period.
6- the importance of marital compatibility between spouses, which is reflected at the level of the psychological state of the couple and thus the continuation of life away from difficult problems and attention to the upbringing of children.
7- Using the results of this study in the development of therapeutic guidance plans to help those women who suffer from postpartum depression.
Third: Study Objectives:
The study seeks to achieve:
Overall Objective:
Identify factors associated with postpartum depression for women and their relationship to marital compatibility and a proposed perception of mitigation from the perspective of rational emotional therapy in the case work.
By achieving the following sub-objectives:
1. Identify factors associated with postpartum depression for women:
• Family factors.
• Psychological factors.
• Social factors.
2. Determine the degree of postpartum depression in women on the axes of the depression scale and includes:
• Feeling weak and tired.
• Speed of anger.
• Poor appetite or loss.
• Insomnia or excessive sleep.
3 - Determine the degree of marital compatibility for women suffering from postpartum depression on the axes of marital compatibility, namely:
• Personal side.
• The emotional side.
• Regulatory side.
First: The problem of the study:
The family is exposed to many family pressures in response to the sharp and rapid changes that have taken place in all areas of life in general and the family in particular. A family member is ill.
Depression is one of the most common diseases in the world and depression is not a weakness or something easy to get rid of, it is a disease that affects the soul and the body and affects the way you think and act.
Women suffer from depression more than men as well as depression suffered because of manifestations of social discrimination, their biological composition is an additional source of trouble, they suffer depression oppression and suppression, and postpartum depression as a new type of depression.
As a result, a relationship has emerged between social work - particularly the social case work - and the psychiatric profession to address postpartum depression and its associated factors.
The success of any marital relationship depends on the extent of harmony and harmony between the parties in various aspects of life and the greater the proportion of this harmony and harmony the marital relationship is coherent and free of psychological and emotional tremors.
Emotional rational therapy is one of the treatments that have shown its effectiveness in serving the individual in modifying and changing the irrational thoughts and trends in women who suffer from postpartum depression and the resulting problems and its impact on marital compatibility.
Thus, the problem of the study can be crystallized in the following issue: ”What are the factors associated with postpartum depression in women and their relationship to marital compatibility as indicators to develop a program to reduce them from the perspective of rational emotional treatment in the case work?”
Second: The importance of the study:
The importance of the present study stems from the nature of the problem.
1- Increasing statistics that indicate the proportion of women with postpartum depression, where the statistics of the National Center for Diseases that the rate of 11% to 20% of women get the disease annually.
2- Depression is one of the prevalent psychiatric diseases that necessitate conducting studies that deal with this disease at the level of Egyptian society.
