In this study, I touched with how to protect children Recruits in accordance with general international law in internal wars, and the role of international regimes in this in light of the First and Second Additional Protocols, the Optional Protocol, the common Article (3) of 1977, special protection for children of combatants, and the role of the international system for protecting Child combatants in light of human rights, and the extensive mention of child protection in light of some conventions and charters, such as the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child as an important convention in comparison to human rights conventions, and the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child of 2000. In order to make it easier for us to know how to protect children from recruitment in civil wars, we have to explain the meaning of the term (child), the meaning of (recruitment), who is (the child combatant), what are the agreements that have been formulated for the sake of child protection, and what is the role of international and regional organizations and the international community The entire fight against the crime of recruiting these innocent people? As well as knowing the criminal responsibility arising from children recruitment, and how does the law punish the criminals against our innocent children? Also, ”the responsibility of these children before the special courts and their accountability in the international judiciary. from all of the above, this study was divided into an introductory chapter, two main chapters and a conclusion containing the most important findings and recommendations.
