Abstract

The Tools of Study:
The study relied on a collection of unpublished documents such as the Sanni Muayya documents, the Ministry of Public Works, Abdeen documents, Egyptian Post Authority documents, Transportation documents, as well as Arabic & foreign references and periodicals.
Methodology
Historical descriptive analytical study.
Results :
1- Post Museum was opened at Attaba during the holding of the Tenth Post Conference 1934.
2- The sale contract of the European Post Company was documented on September 30, 1865, after it was bought on October 29, 1864 for 950,000 francs. The ownership was transferred to the Egyptian government on January 2, 1865.
3- The Post Authority has been concerned, from time to time, to encourage postmen by granting them some badges, decorations, and promotion, due to their honesty and dedication to work.
4-When the Post Museum was opened in 1934, the Postal Administration was affiliated with the Ministry of transportations.
5- After presenting the documents of international postal conferences, it becomes clear that the number of countries participating in the Union has increased in each conference over the previous one.
6-The names of the Egyptian Post Authority varied over a period of 150 years. Starting from the European Post Company in 1864, until became the National Authority for Egyptian Post.
Recommendations:
• Cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education in organizing student trips to visit the museum.
• There should be an agreement with tourist companies to include the post museum in the tourist programs.
• Tourism promotion for the museum through advertising in newspapers and websites, or issuing stamps bearing the name of the Post Museum for use in correspondence.
• Holding traveling exhibitions that include replicas of the museum’s holdings.
• Including the Post Museum in the tour guide courses.
• Adding the Post Museum and other specialized museums to modern and contemporary history courses.
