The study aimed to reach the most important metadata standards for describing digital videos, identifying the most important fields of metadata standards used in storing digital videos on databases available in the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, identifying methods for searching digital videos on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and clarifying the most important databases that include digital videos in a bank Egyptian knowledge, clarifying how to obtain digital videos and integrating them into research studies of researchers, whether by downloading, saving, operating, browsing or otherwise, and clarifying the suitability of metadata standards used in storing digital videos on databases at the Egyptian Knowledge Bank for international standards.
The study used the analytical method to describe metadata elements for the rules that include digital video files on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank using the Dublin Core elements, and some other elements of metadata elements, and applied to (10) videos from each of the following rules: Dar Nahdet Misr Publishing House, Designmate database, Acland’s Video atlas of Human Anatomy database Discovery Education database Clinical Key database The study found that the ability to apply the Dublin Core standards to videos of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank rules.
