Abstract OBI prevalence in Egyptian HCV-positive patients is 0% to 38.3% according to the available data [Kishk et al., 2014; Selim et al., 2011;Emara et al.,2010]. This wide range of OBI may be related to different study designs as well as different HBV-DNA detection methods. More recent study found that occult HBV infection occurred in almost half of the patients with HCV examined, but was not of clinical significance. [Cardoso et al., 2013] This study was conducted on 178 chronic HCV infection patients aiming for improve care of occult hepatitis B infection patients with chronic hepatitis C patients treated with direct acting antiviral treatment . Among the total studied 178 patients ,eighty four patients(47.2 %)were treated with difficult treatment(SOF/DAC/RBV)and ninety four patients (52.8%)were treated with easy treatment(SOF/DAC). One patients from easy treatment discontinued treatment with no apparent cause and another one has relapsed. Another patients treated with difficult treatment discontinued treatment and one discontinued follow up after 12 weeks. One hundred and seventy patients were treated for 12 weeks and eight treated for 24 weeks. There is no statistically significant difference between difficult treatment |
