Abstract External genital anomalies in male infants are common. Inheritance, exposure to chemicals & pesticides surrounding us in the environment, medical complications during pregnancy, smoking, low birth weight and increasing both maternal and paternal ages had a great role in occurrence of these types of anomalies. We conducted a cross sectional descriptive study including 3000 male infants younger than one year attending primary health care units for compulsory vaccination in Suez Governorate. Every infant was subjected to history taking from his mother and physical examination. In the current study, we aimed at determining the prevalence and different aspects of external genital anomalies in male infants below one year of age also assessing risk factors in these patients. |
