Abstract

The study focused on achieving some of the properties:-
1. Increasing the hydrophobic property of the used polymer.
2. Decreasing the fiber diameter and so membrane pores.
The research Problem: -
• The spread of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in the world, especially Egypt, which led to the emergence of liver diseases and death.
• One of the common methods of HCV infection is the transmission of blood plasma protein derivative products to patients which are used as a therapy.
• The conventional methods (inactivation methods) of removing virus C from plasma products cause damage in the blood components.
• Although using a filtration system to remove virus C consider an efficiency method, but the adhesion of plasma proteins to the filter surface makes aggregates block the membrane pores.
• Controlling of the filter pores size to be less than the diameter of the virus.
Results:-
House apparatus:-The nanofiber membrane of lowest regarding in fiber diameter and pore size is sample N. (11) of PVP/Lecithin 6:2 which is spun by using needle gauge (16), applied voltage (20) and the distance between the tip and the collector is 30.
Nanospider apparatus:-The nanofiber membrane of lowest regarding in fiber diameter and pore size is sample N. (26) of 10% PVP /2%Lecithin /2% MCC which has been spun by using applied voltage (15) and the distance between the tip and the collector is 20 and it has been crosslinked
