Abstract The thesis is devoted for determination of some drugs in pure forms, their pharmaceutical preparations, and biological fluids, using novel analytical methods with applications of some chemometric techniques. These drugs include lamotrigine (LMG), norfloxacin (NF) and tinidazole (TZ). The thesis is divided into 4 parts. Part I this part provides a general introduction about the different chemometric techniques and their applications in drug analysis. Part II it describes two digitally enhanced TLC methods, the first for determination of drugs in plasma using oil-in-water microemulsion to isolate the drug from plasma proteins then suitable mobile phase can be used to achieve complete separation between the drug and plasma according to the physical properties of studied drug. While the second one for simultaneous determination of NF and TZ using reversed phase TLC plates and 30% trifluoroacetic acid as mobile phase. Part III it describes two quantitative NMR methods for determination of LMG and simultaneous determination of NF and TZ. Part IV it describes a HPLC for determination of LMG in plasma using natural deep eutectic solvent for extraction of LMG from plasma. |
