Abstract
The growing energy needs throughout the world motivate the use of renewable energy sources. This trend dramatically reduces the environmental impact of conventional power plants. Among the types of renewable energy sources, wind and solar energies are considered as the most preferable sources. Their penetration into distribution networks arises various issues, especially for power quality such as voltage fluctuations, harmonics and flickers. Thus, the integration of solar and wind energies could initiate problems for equipment in power system.
