Abstract

The wrist is perhaps the most complicated joint in the body and the most important joint for human being in this computer and internet age.
Ulnar-sided wrist pain is a common cause of upper-extremity disability. Presentation can vary from acute traumatic injuries to chronic degenerative conditions. Because of its overlapping anatomy, complex differential diagnosis, and varied treatment outcomes, the ulnar side of the wrist has been referred to as the ―black box‖ of the wrist, and its pathology has been compared with that of low back pain.
Wrist pain is a common clinical complaint. The most common causes of wrist pain are traumatic and non-traumatic abnormalities involving ganglia, avascular necrosis, and triangular fibrocartilage lesions.
It is important to reach the accurate diagnosis to give the patient the correct treatment.
Diagnosis of wrist pain start with clinical examination which include some provocative tests, MRI and arthroscope which is the gold standard method for accurate diagnosis.
The aim of this study is to assess the role and accuracy of clinical tests and MRI in diagnosis of chronic ulnar-sided wrist pain causes.
