Abstract Simultaneous TGA/DTA scans under flows of nitrogen and dry air were carried out for CuS powder to examine the changes that happen during thermal heating. The TGA/DTA scans revealed that the thermal decomposition of CuS resulted in the loss of sulfer and the formation of new copper sulfides and/or new copper oxysulfides (CuxSyOz) even in presence of trivial oxygen residuals. |
