Abstract The present work includes the synthetizations of three novel groups of surfactants, its properties and chemical composition of these investigated surfactants, preparation of the used solutions, the instruments, the procedures used for the corrosion measurements (electrochemical techniques). The spectroscopic investigation of new synthesized surfactants which includes FTIR and 1H-NMR resultsthat provided evidence of synthesized surfactants were successful. In addition to surface tension measurements and determine the critical micelles concentrations. In conclusion the electrochemical measurements and Scanning electron microscope results support the assumption that corrosion inhibition primarily takes place through adsorption of the new surfactants on C-steel surface. Agreement among these different independent techniques indicates the validity of the obtained results. |
