Abstract Telogen effluvium (TE) is most frequently seen type of hair loss and multiple factors play role in this disease occurrence. Vitamin D is intimately related to hair and skin diseases due to its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory influences. It is not surprising that the potential role of vitamin D in alopecia was explored in several studies. Hence, the aim of this work was to investigate the role of serum vitamin D level in the pathogenesis of telogen effluvium.
