Abstract

This study aims to know the role of transformational leadership in empowering employees in the Egyptian Travel Agencies (Category A), where transformational leadership is measured through all its possible dimensions i.e. ideal impact, inspirational motivation, thinking stimulus, individual considerations and empowerment.
The study is conducted at the level of (Category A) the Egyptian Travel Agencies. The necessary preliminary information is obtained through a quantitative questionnaire, which was distributed to a random sample of employees of the Egyptian tourism companies in the geographical locations of Hurghada, Luxor, Sohag, Aswan, and Cairo. While the overall number of questionnaire forms reached 600, only 585 are collected. After reviewing these forms, 10 of them were excluded because they are not fit for statistical analysis. This brings the number of valid forms to 575, accounting for 95.83% of the total number of distributed forms.
After analyzing the results using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program (SPSS), a series of results are reached, the most important of which is the proof of the study because of the existence of a correlation, positive, and statistical function between the transformational leadership and the empowerment of employee’s income of the Egyptian Travel Agencies (Category A).
The results of the study also show that there is a positive correlation and statistical function of a significant effect at 0.006 - 0.029 - 0.002 - 0.049 for the four dimensions of transformational leadership respectively.
Relying on the transformational leaders in the management of resources and tourism institutions so that they are able to motivate their followers (Putting the dimensions of transformational leadership within the performance evaluation criteria to encourage managers to improve and develop it, setting some questions that measure the level of transformational leadership of new job candidates within tourism institutions, selecting the administrative leaders with experience, qualities, and characteristics that affect the dependents and Setting the behaviors of the leader so that they focus on setting high standards, acting as an example, because such behaviors enhance the sense of belonging of the followers, and their belief in the importance of their actions and suitability.
