Abstract

The proposed thesis entitled ” Removal of organic
pollutants from the aqueous media by using ground corn
cob and peanut husk ”

Chapter one:
includes an introduction which is about water pollution
and the damages caused by organic compounds and it also illustrates

ls the tools used for the removal of phenolic compounds and

comprises
the scientific experiments of the usage of
ground corncob to remove the organic contaminants like catechol and
hydroquinone from prepared a
queous media.

pH where the % of the phenolic comp

unds removal increased with
the incr
ease in pH and the optimum pH for the CC and HQ removal
was at pH 8
