Abstract The present study was carried out in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Sadat University on two hundred and fifty (250) one day old white chicks (Cobb strain obtained from El-Arabia Poultry Company) from the period August to September 2017. Chicks were weighed at arrival time and the average weight was 45.0 ± 2.0g. Animal grouping: Summary of the experimental design group Groups Ration Drinking water Morning Evening 1(control) X X X 2(Echinacea) X X 3(Moringa) X X 4(Linseed oil) X X 5(Fennel oil) X X X = No additive = add to drinking water = mixed with ration The present study was carried out to determine the effects of herbal alcoholic extracts (Moringa & Echinacea) and essential oil (linseed &Fennel oil ) supplementation to broiler diet and drinking water on growth performance, blood picture, Immunology, Liver & Kidney functions , antioxidant activity, Hormones(T3,T4 and leptin), internal visceral organs, carcass yield and Histopathology . On days 35 randomly 10 birds per group were sampled. The birds were weighed to obtain live body weight and the blood was collected in tubes containing EDTA and another without EDTA then slaughtered by a sharp knife for complete bleeding. After complete bleeding samples from liver, bursa, spleen, duodenum were collected in jar containing 10% formalin for histological examination. The birds were reweighted after bleeding, skin, head and shanks. After that, viscera were removed, and then reweight to obtain weight of viscera. |
