Abstract

Most studies discussed the relationship between neurological deficit and canal stenosis or posterior ligamentous complex injury but few discussed other parameters like sagittal alignment or type of fracture or vertebral height. In this study, we discussed the correlation between different imaging parameters like sagittal alignment, vertebral compression, canal compromise, and the type of the fracture according to AO classification and the severity of nerve damage measured by ASIA score system. We measured these parameters by using computer software programmes Our study concluded that there is a positive corelation between nerve damage measured by the ASIA score system and sagittal alignment, vertebral compression and type of the fracture according to AO classification. But, there is no positive correlation with canal compromise measuredbycanalcross-sectionalarea.
