There was a statistically significant difference in the total mean nurse`s practice level in pre, post implementing of educational program and follow up after three months.
There was positive correlation has been founded between knowledge score and performance score in pre-test, post-test and follow-up.
There were no statistical significant difference between pre-program and post program groups regarding all parameter of complication for comatose patients.
It can conclude that nurse`s knowledge and practice regarding care for patient with coma in emergency care unit at Assiut university hospital are inadequate. Implementing the teaching program on nurse`s knowledge and skills training shows a significant improvement in nurse`s knowledge and practice.
