Abstract

Purpose: To determine the Efficacy of low-level laser therapy on nerve conduction in diabetic neuropathic patients versus conventional therapy (comparative study) by using three methods of evaluation (visual analog scale (VAS)/ Electromyography (EMG) and Neuropathic pain scale (NPS). Methods: Forty five patients with diabetic neuropathy participated in this study. Their ages were from 40 to 55 years, they were recruited from a diabetic clinic at Zagazig University Hospital; they were divided into three groups. group (A) received low-level laser therapy (LLLT) three times/week. group (B) received Ultrasound three times/week and group (C) received basic medication
Results and Conclusion:- Result showed LLLT can be considered an effective therapeutic modality in the management of diabetic neuropathy as evidenced by the highly significant decline in the VAS and NPS
Keywords (Low-level laser, diabetic neuropathy, visual analog scale, and Neuropathic pain scale).
