Abstract It has been demonstrated by immunohistochemistry that the expression of COX-2 is up-regulated in the psoriatic lesions. Although COX-2 has been implicated in psoriasis lesions, there are limited studies demonstrating the definitive expression and correlation of COX-2 in psoriasis lesions. This cross-sectional analytic study was conducted at Dermatology and Venereology Department, Suez Canal University Hospital in Ismailia. The aim of this study is to evaluate the role of COX-2 in pathogenesis of psoriasis and its role in improving treatment by assessing the histopathological results of COX-2 in psoriasis by immune-histochemistry. |
