Abstract Menopause-related symptoms are caused by the sharp fall in hormonal levels. However, the experience of menopause varies widely between women, ranging from a smooth and non-problematic transition to a long period of imbalances and disruptions. These variable responses have been linked to genetic, cultural, lifestyle, socioeconomic, education, and dietary factors. There is a considerable variation in reporting of menopausal symptoms by women all over the world. Sleep quality is affected poorly during the menopausal transition. Also, there is a significant decrease in sexual arousal, desire, and frequency of sexual activity. In addition, symptoms of menopause have been reported to impose a negative impact on the QoL of perimenopausal women. Therefore, the current study aimed to assess the sleep quality, sexual function, and QoL of the study population and find out the variations in the menopausal symptom domains. |
