This study aimed to identify some psychological variables in a sample of the divorced from both genders, in addition to knowing the differences between divorced and divorced women. The study was conducted on a sample of (40) divorced husbands, (40) divorced wives, and their ages ranged from (22-) 53) with an average age of (33.18) and a standard deviation of (3.19).In addition, a control sample of (80) husbands and non-divorced wives was chosen by (40) husbands, (40) wives, and their ages ranged from (21-55) with an average age of (32.10) and a standard deviation (2.13). The study used (Coopersmith Self-Esteem Scale, 1967), (Russel Psychological Unit Scale, 1996), (Zeinab Choucair Psychological Compatibility Scale, 2003) The results of the study showed that: - There is a correlation between self-esteem and psychological loneliness in the study sample of divorced wives. - There is a correlation between self-esteem and psychological compatibility among the study sample of divorced wives. - There is a correlation between psychological unit and psychological compatibility among the study sample of divorced wives. - There is a correlation between self-esteem and psychological loneliness in the study sample of divorced couples. - There is a correlation between self-esteem and psychological compatibility among the study sample of divorced couples. - There is a correlation between psychological unit and psychological compatibility of the study sample of divorced couples. - There are no statistically significant differences between the divorced from the male sample compared to the divorced wives. - There are substantial differences of statistical significance between the divorced from the male sample compared to the sample of the non-divorced males. - There are substantial differences of statistical significance between divorced women from the sample of wives compared to the sample of non-divorced wives.
