Abstract The current study aimed at investigating the effect of using a flipped classroom based program onEnglish oracy skills and self-efficacy of EFL secondary schoolers. The research design is the quasi experimental pre&posttest. Two classes from El Sadat School secondary for Boys in Ismailia (Egypt) were chosen purposefully. One was assigned as the experimental group and the second one was assigned as the control one. Each group consisted of forty male students. The experimental group was taught using the developed flipped classroom based program in teaching English oracy skills and self-efficacy, whereas the control group was taught using the regular method. An English oracy test and self-efficacy scale was administered to both groups. The test was administrated to the two groups before and after the treatment. The self-efficacy scale was administrated to both groups after the treatment. The obtained data was statistically analysed through the use of Cronbach,s Alpha, t- test and effect size. The results of the study revealed that the students taught through the flipped classroom based program had better scores in English oracy test than those taught through the regular teaching. In addition, the self-efficacy scale of the experimental group was higher than the control one.
