Abstract

Water is the basis and artery of life, all living organisms depend on water for their livelihood, where most of the human body is considered water, so drinking water, quality and health have great global importance, and countries and organizations have developed global foundations and measurements of water quality measure, and their drinking power. The Nile River and groundwater are among the most important sources of drinking water in the Arab Republic of Egypt, where Nile water is a source of tap water in most Egyptian cities, so it is imperative to continuously detect and analyze drinking water sources in most provinces and cities of Egypt. In this study, drinking water was analyzed from its various sources in Dakahliya and Damietta provinces in several areas, including Sherbin, Mansoura, Met Khamis and Damietta city, and this analysis was carried out by measuring the different elements (chemical), as well as microbial analysis (bacteriology), in order to measure the validity of different drinking water according to known global measurements. Chemical analysis of heavy elements has been carried out, with the most polluted water species and the most polluted cities in the two provinces being contaminated with heavy toxic elements over the course of four seasons of the year (summer- autumn- winter- spring).
