Researcher / Doaa Abd El Karim Atta *. The current research aims to identify the effect of a sports counseling program on psychological adjustment and to learn some basic skills in basketball for those with mental needs of primary school students. The sample was selected from Sadat Primary School (2019-2020 AD), and a sample of (16) male and female students was chosen intentionally from the research community, and they were randomly divided into two equal groups, each group consisted of (8) male and female students. Two groups, one experimental and the other control, by following the pre and post measurements for the two groups. The proposed sports counseling program was implemented on the experimental group The proposed sports counseling program was implemented on the experimental group, and the traditional program was applied to the control group using the traditional program (the program followed in the school), during the period from Saturday 12/21/2019 to Thursday 12/3/2020 for a period of (8) weeks. At the rate of (3) educational units per week, and the time of one educational unit is (45) minutes. .The most important results of the search were as follows: - The sports counseling program positively affects the psychological compatibility of mentally handicapped pupils who are integrated into the elementary stage.
