Family violence is one of the most dangerous and bad phenomena that threaten the life of the child and the family. Therefore, the current study aimed to identify the causes, types and effects of domestic violence against children, and to reveal the reality of this bad phenomenon in Sohag Governorate and to identify the role of various educational institutions in confronting it, and the extent of the response of individuals The sample is for the Islamic educational confrontation to reduce it, and the study used the descriptive approach as it is one of the research approaches that specializes in the process of research and investigation about societal, educational and educational phenomena. Primary, preparatory and secondary schools in Sohag Center) to know the extent of their awareness of the role of the Islamic educational confrontation of domestic violence against children.
The study reached the following results
1 .Among the causes of violence are the most influential families:
- The child does not obey parents’ instructions.
- Permanent family problems.
- Bad relationship between parents, family members and the child.
2. Of the effects resulting from the phenomenon of violence against children, including the following:
- Violence contributes to the formation of a nervous personality in the child.
- Violence increases the child’s sense of failure.
- Violence causes the child to withdraw.
3 .The role of the family in reducing the phenomenon of violence against children:
- Follow up on children and direct their behavior.
- Reducing the phenomenon of seeing scenes of violence on devices of all kinds.
- Satisfying children’s psychological, social and behavioral needs.
4 .The role of Islamic education in reducing the phenomenon of violence against children, including the following:
- Activating the mosque’s role in raising awareness of the rejection of violence against children.
- Inculcating Islamic values in thought and behavior in the hearts of parents and children.
- Inculcating Islamic values in thought and behavior in the hearts of parents and children.
- The use of religious occasions to guide children towards doingdesirable actions.
