Introduction : The Public Relations Department of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Dubai is an independent department, and to emphasize the importance of the public relations activities of the Emirates Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in achieving security awareness, cohesion and interdependence among members of the UAE community through the positive and rational role it plays through digital activities on the Authority’s website Federal Identity and Citizenship, social networking sites and security awareness campaigns, such as the initiative ””Protect yourself by modifying your status””; This is to provide a new opportunity for visitors and residents who have not been able to settle their situation so far, to benefit from this initiative, and to avoid the measures that the authority will take against those who insist on continuing to violate the law on entry and residence of foreigners in the country. The study Problem: The problem of the study crystallized in identifying the effectiveness of communication activities for public relations in the United Arab Emirates in raising security awareness for the external public by applying to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Dubai. The importance of studying : - The importance of the current study comes through its topic on the effectiveness of public relations activities at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in security awareness for the outside public to identify areas of strength in its work, and areas of deficiency, to be addressed. - The importance of the study follows from the importance and vitality of the issue of security awareness, and the need of all societies for it, especially after the developments and societal events surrounding the world, regionally and locally. - Highlighting the role of public relations in the security process in its comprehensive sense. Objectives of the study: The study aims to identify the effectiveness of communication activities for public relations in the UAE in raising security awareness for the external public by applying to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Dubai Study Questions: What is the effectiveness of communication activities for public relations in the UAE in raising security awareness for the external public, by applying to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Dubai. Type and methodology of the study : This study is one of the descriptive studies that used the field media survey method, to identify the effectiveness of communication activities for public relations in the UAE in raising security awareness for the external public by applying to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Dubai Society and Study Sample: The study population is represented by public relations practitioners in the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Dubai, and the external public of Emirati citizens and residents coming from other countries, while the study sample is represented by (an intentional sample) of public relations practitioners in the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship of (20) respondents. The period from (3/8/2020 to 8/9/2020), and the field study is to apply to a random sample from the outside public (Emirati citizens in Dubai and expatriate residents) consisting of (400) respondents, and the application was carried out in the period from (9/20/2020). To 10/25/2020). Study Tools: The study relied on two questionnaire papers: A questionnaire sheet for public relations practitioners in the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. - Questionnaire newspaper for the external audience. General results of the study: - - The most important specifications for public relations practitioners in the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship came in order of (proficiency in communication skills - ability to use modern technologies, good appearance - scientific and practical experience). - Public relations practitioners at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship believe that the media that have a positive effect on security awareness (the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship website to raise awareness of residency and travel laws - social media sites - television programs) - The most important forms of communication message used by public relations practitioners at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (photos - videos - text content and links - infographic) - The opinion of the respondents came about the public relations activities of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship regarding the initiative ””Protect yourself by modifying your status”” for residency and nationality offenses. Modifying the status of violators by exempting them from all prescribed fines ””followed by”” work to attract large numbers of violators with features that exceeded their expectations and aspirations. - The concept of security awareness among respondents from the outside public came in the first order, “educating the citizen about the state’s ability to protect its lands and stability and preserve the value system,” and in the second order came “citizen awareness of the stability of the state’s economic situation and the protection of its citizens from all dangers. - The issues of security awareness that the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship is concerned with from the viewpoint of the respondents from the outside public came in the first order, ””Facing violence and terrorism,”” and in the second order came ””Maintaining the security of the Emirates to limit violations of residency and nationality laws””, and in the third order ””Awareness”” By curbing hate speech on social networking sites, while in the fourth and final order came, “Activating the electronic participation guide on social media.” - The most important communication activities for public relations in the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship for Security Awareness came according to the opinion of the respondents from the outside public (the initiative to protect yourself by modifying your status - My Country Safety Initiative - Initiatives to reduce hate speech on social media sites - Activate the electronic participation and digital citizenship guide on social media sites) - The opinion of the respondents came about the communication means used by the public relations of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship for Security Awareness, arranged (the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship website - social media sites - publications directed to the internal and external audiences such as manuals, brochures, brochures, reports and brochures related to security awareness - television - personal communication means. Such as seminars, conferences, interviews, meetings and parties - the radio - Emirati newspapers and magazines - Arab newspapers and magazines - foreign newspapers and magazines). - There is a positive, statistically significant relationship between respondents’ exposure to public relations activities at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the cognitive, emotional and behavioral effects of security awareness.
