Abstract Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) is common clinical tachyarrhythmia originating above the bundle of His often repetitive, occasionally persistent, and rarely life threatening, condition that occurs in persons of all age groups, and treatment can be challenging. Our cross-sectional study included 126 patients with supraventricular tachycardia who attended cardiology departments, Suez Canal university hospital over one year. History and physical examination , doing ECG after cardioversion in order to assess P-wave indices (P-wave duration (Pmax /Pmin) , P-wave dispersion (PWD) and interatrial block along with echocardiographic left atrial parameters ( LA diameter and volume)as predictors of supraventricular tachycardia recurrence by electrical follow up using 24hours ECG Holter done after 1 month and clinical follow up done at 1,6 months done for all patients . |
