Abstract Microalgae are promising organisms to utilize, treat and recycle wastewaters for bioremediation. In addition, microalgae become an important renewable feedstock for production of fuels and chemicals with no environmental impact. The main objective of the present study was to evaluate industrial, agricultural and mixture wastewaters as nutritive substrates for mixotrophic production of biomass and lipids by different species of green microalgae. In addition, the study was also concerning on the microalgal potential to bioremediate different wastewaters. |
