Abstract
Shrubs are one of several landscaping elements; they are short in growth, as compared with trees. Their maximum height between 3-4 m. Shrub is of woody growth of two stems or more – it can be used instead of flowering plants if not time is available for the garden owner to take care for his annual flowering plants. The garden owner can exploit shrubs to offer their flowers, green color and odor through days with less number of hand labors for garden maintenance.
One of the important goals of the shrubs is their suitability to the purpose of edging or separating places from each other and also their suitability for foundation plants, also for planting beside main roads or curved ways, as well as give a valuable photo if tied between the herbaceous plants and trees (Oliver, 1969).Shrubs between the flows attention such dominant features are the most striking elements in the garden and always attract the eye of the beholder, the principal feature is usually the house or cottage to which the garden belongs , and other striking features may be tall trees, particularly confers, pools, fountains, statuary, ornamental, containers, and even solitary shrubs.
