Group-1: Five bitches affected with metritis which received (misopristol “ misoprostol tablet “ at dose level of 20 µg/Kg, orally + amoxicilline clavulanate “ suynolx “ 12.50 mg/Kg/ S/c twice daily for 7 days.
Group-2: Five bitches affected with metritis which received cabergolin 5 pg/Kg orally+ Amoxicilline clavulanate “ suynolx “ 12.50 mg/Kg/ S/c twice daily) for 7-days.
Group-3: Five bitches affected with metritis which received (PGF2 α “lutylase” 100µg/kg I/M once + amoxicilline clavulanate“ suynolx “ 12.50 mg/Kg) twice daily for 7-days.
Blood samples were drawn before the start of the treatment protocols and again at the end of the treatment period. Complete blood pictrure was evaluated, in addition to, some srum biochemical parameters including, BUN,creatinine, AST, ALT, MDA , GSH, CRP, IL-6, lactoferrin, , estrogen and progesterone.
The obtained hematological results showed a significant increase in RBCs count, total and differential leukocytic count. Concerning the serum biochemical results, BUN,creatinine, AST, ALT, MDA , GSH, CRP, IL-6, lactoferrin and progesterone recorded a significant decrease at the end of the treatment period. In addition estrogen showed a significant increase.
Finally, Our results indicated that, depending on assessted parameters, all of the treatment protocols recorded a great success in the treatment of the animals affected with metritis, and the best protocol, (PGF2 α 100µg/kg I/M once + amoxicilline clavulanate 12.50 mg/Kg) twice daily for 7-days
