Abstract

Abstract

The transportation problem considers one of the biggest problems that face the large organization. where this problem try to find the optimal distribution for a fleet to minimize the total transportation cost, So it is presented the transportation models with difference forms to solve this problem under different conditions. The accuracy of the data in this field not high so it will be used the fuzzy technique to solve this problem.
In this study, An application for a transportation problem on a company to distribute its products over a wide country by using its fleet is presented. All the necessary data from the company were collected, analyzed and reformulated to become a suitable form to apply a transportation model to solve it, and multi- software was used to solve the problem, and all of them gave the same optimal solution for the distribution process that achieves the minimum operating cost. The results show that using this technique can be considered as powerful tool to improve the operation management for any fleet, The results showed that the improvement rate was 4.41%.
