المستخلص This study aimed to identify openness to experience and its relationship to personal competence and psychological well- being among a sample of university youth. The study sample composed of (567) male and female students between ages of (19: 21) years. Two measures were prepared by the researcher: Openness to experience, personal competence and Psychological well-being scale (Springer & Hauser, 2006, adapted in arabic by the researcher). The obtained results afouned that there is a statistically significant correlation between openness to experience, Personal competence and psychological well-being. There are no statistically significant differences in openness to experience according to gender (male, female) and specialization (science-literature) variables. There are no statistically significant differences in psychological well-being according to gender (male, female) and specialization (science-literature) variables. There are no statistically significant differences in personal competence according to gender (male, female) and specialization (science-literature) variables. It was afound also that Openness to experience can be predicted through the scores of the study sample on the psychological well-being and personal competence scales. |
