This study aims to identify the relationship between Social skills and self-esteem among children with learning Disabilities and normal, and that is in a sample that consisted of (84) normal children with learning difficulties to read, where (42) children were selected from among the ordinary (21) males, And (21) females among the students of six public primary schools, and (42) children with reading difficulties were selected from among the “100” children who frequented the special education centers, including (28) males, (14) females, and Their ages ranged from (9-11) years, and the children’s intelligence level averaged between (90-110) on the Stanford Binet Intelligence Scale. And a battery of diagnostic assessment scales for learning difficulties: prepared by (Fatehi Mustafa Al-Zayat, 2008), the rapid neurological survey test prepared by (Margaret Moti and others) Arabization (Mustafa Kamel, 1998), the social skills scale (prepared by the researcher), and the self-esteem scale (prepared by the researcher). The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between social skills and appreciation The self among children with reading difficulties, and there is a statistically significant relationship between social skills and self-esteem among ordinary children, and there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of children with reading difficulties and ordinary children in social skills, and there are statistically significant differences between the average The degrees of children with reading difficulties and normal children in self-esteem, and self-esteem can be predicted through the degrees of ordinary children in social skills, and self-esteem can be predicted through the degrees of children with reading difficulties in social skills.
