Second : Summary of Study in English:
A suggested Program from the Prospective Of Social group Work and the Reduction of the Social Stigma Feelings for Psychological Disorders Patients
First: Introduction to the study problem:
Social stigma occurs when individuals are devalued or treated unfairly by others because of their health. Stigmatization of people with psychological illness has been recognized by international agencies such as the World Health Organization and the World Psychiatric Association as an important public health and human rights problem. It was found that despite the increase in public knowledge of mental disorders، their causes and treatment، people with l psychological disorders and their family members continue to be stigmatized in ways that limit their social participation in all aspects of life. Stigma has repercussions، including: it prevents the individual from seeking help - delayed treatment - and isolation - sometimes leads to suicide. The role of the group service specialist is to help the patient accept his illness، and acceptance is not to acknowledge the presence of patients، but to think about the disease and try to treat it and help the patient to eliminate fears and anxiety. The specialist uses methods of dialogue and group discussions and opportunities for self and collective expression، and group service depends on many tools to achieve goals The group and the most important of these tools is the program because it is the group’s ease in directing the experiences، experiences and trends that are provided to the patients، as well as through the use of it A suggested Program from the Prospective Of Social group Work and the Reduction of the Social Stigma Feelings for Psychological Disorders Patients
Second: The importance of the study:
1- Attaching some misconceptions about patients with psychological disorders، which causes them psychological and social harm and inflicts a social stigma on them.
2- Insufficient awareness of the disease and mental disorders.
3- Knowing the effect of social stigma psychologically and socially on patients with mental disorders.
4- The problems related to the social stigma of mental disorder are considered important at the present time، as the speed of its spread has increased recently at high rates.
5- The profession of social work in general and the method of community service in particular have an important role in alleviating the feeling of social stigma among patients with psychological disorders.
6- The scarcity of research and studies that dealt with the role of the group work method in helping to reduce the feeling of social stigma among with Psychological Disorders Patients
7- Reaching a suggested program from the perspective of the way of serving the group and alleviating the feeling of social stigma of Psychological Disorders Patients
Third: - Objectives of the study:
- The main objective of the study is to determine ”the role Of Social group Work and the Reduction of the Social Stigma Feelings for Psychological Disorders Patients
from this goal stems from a set of the following sub-objectives:
1- Determine the extent of the impact of social stigma on Psychological Disorders Patients
2- Determining the role social group worker alleviating the effects of social stigma with Psychological Disorders Patients
3- Determining the appropriate methods and means social group work that contribute to alleviating the feeling of social stigma among patients with Psychological Disorders Patients from the perspective of Prospective Of Social group Work
4- Identifying the obstacles that prevent alleviating the feeling of social stigma among patients with disorders.
5- Reaching for a proposed program from the perspective of how to work with groups to reduce the feeling of social stigma among patients with
Psychological Disorders Patients
Fourth:- Study questions:-
- The main question of the study is to determine whau is role of Social group Work and the Reduction of the Social Stigma Feelings for Psychological Disorders Patients
from this question emerges a set of the following sub-questions:
1- What is the impact of social stigma on Psychological Disorders Patients?
2- What is the role of social group worker and effects of stigma in Psychological Disorders Patients?
3- What are the appropriate methods and means in social group work that contribute to alleviating the feeling of social stigma among Psychological Disorders Patients?
4- What are the obstacles that prevent alleviating the feeling of social stigma for Psychological Disorders Patients?
Fifth: - Concepts of the study:
1- The concept of the program in the service of the community.

3- The concept of. Psychological Disorders Patients
Sixth: Methodological Procedures of study ?
(1) The human field:
- An inventory of the comprehensive of all social workers working - and patients with mental disorders inside the mental health neurological hospitals
- Mental health and addiction in Assiut Governorate.
(2) Spatial field
The study was applied within the hospitals of neurological mental health - mental health and addiction in Assiut Governorate.
(3) Time field:
The study was conducted by collecting data and drawing conclusions and recommendations in the period from 1-3-2021 until 1-5-2021.
Seventh: General results of the study
1- The results showed that the psychological effects of social stigma in patients with mental disorders?
- Dealing with me first، with relative strength (77.7%)، with a defense-weighted average (2.33).
- Ranking in the second rank، I get nervous when knowing others about my patients ”with relative strength (76.7%) and with a weighted average (2.3).
The value in the third order is a depression due to outlook، with relative strength، (73.3) and with a weighted average (2.2)
2- The results showed that the social effects of social stigma on the mentally disturbed patient came with a relative strength of (59%)، average weights (1417)، and an arithmetic mean (40.2).
- In the first order came the phrase ”most families refuse to associate with people with a history of psychological treatment” with a relative strength of (70%)، and with a weighted average of (2.1).
- The phrase “I suffer from the injustice of my relatives because of my illness” came in second place with a relative strength of (66%)، and with an average of (1.88)،
- In the third survey، the phrase “My relationships with my relatives due to psychological disorder” came with a relative strength of (64.3%) and a weighted average of (1.93)
3- The results showed that the role of the social worker with patients came with relative strength (74.5%)، average weights (720) and weighted average (2.2). The results showed that:
- The phrase ”enabled patients to obtain all services within the hospital” came in the first order with a relative strength of (96%) with a weighted average of (2.9).
- The phrase ”working to raise the patient’s morale” came in the second place with a relative strength of (93.3%) with a weighted average of (2.8).
- In the third survey، the phrase “organize group sessions aimed at eliminating the negative feelings resulting from the disease” came with a relative strength of (90%) and a weighted average of (2.7).
4- The results showed that the role of the social worker with the patients’ family had a relative strength (75.5%)، average weights (729) and a weighted average (2.3):
- The first rank is ”helping the family to adapt to the situation of hospitalization” with a relative strength of (96.7%) with a weighted average of (2.9).
- The second rank is “Providing psychological support for the sick family” with a relative strength of (86%) and a weighted average of (2.6)،
- The third arrangement is the phrase I share the patient’s family during the patient’s treatment stages. With a relative strength of (83.3)
5- The results showed that the role of the social worker with the work team came with a relative strength of (77.5%)، with an average weight of (535) and a weighted average of (2.3):
- The first rank came as ”providing knowledge about the psychological and social effects of psychological disorder”، with a relative ability of (96.7%) and a weighted average of (2.9).
- The phrase ”writing periodic reports to help the work team to follow up on the patients’ condition” came in second place with a relative strength of (90%) and a weighted average of (2.7).
- The phrase “organizing group treatment sessions for the disease and their families with the work team” came in the third rank with a relative strength of (86.7%)، a weighted average of (2.6.6%) and a weighted average of (2.5).
6- The results showed that it became clear that the role of the social worker with the community came with a relative strength of (69.9%)، a weighted average of (482) and a weighted average of (2.1):
- the first place is phrase ”preparing awareness seminars on the fact that the disease is not a crime or a shame” came in، with a relative strength of (78%) and a weighted average of (2.34).
- In the second rank came the phrase ”health education for the psychological and social consequences of social stigma on the patient and his family” with a relative strength of (76.7%) and a weighted average of (2.3).
- The phrase ”cooperating with NGOs to raise awareness of the causes of mental disorders” came in third place with a relative strength of (70%) and a weighted average of (2.1).
7- The results showed that the group discussion as one of the methods used to alleviate the feeling of social stigma came with a relative strength (72%)، an average weight (502)، and a weighted average (2.2):
- The phrase “helps the patients feel of belonging within the group as it gives them an opportunity to confront their problems” came in the first place with a relative strength of (80%) and a weighted average of (2.4)
- The phrase “helps to modify patients’ negative attitudes towards treatment” came in the second rank with a relative strength of (76.7%) and a weighted average of (2.3).
- In the third rank، the phrase ”helps to identify different behaviors of patients in the direction of social stigma” came with a relative strength of (70%) and a weighted average of (2.1).
8- The results showed that the trips as one of the methods used in alleviating the feeling of social stigma came with a relative strength of (65%)، and my weight average (448)، with an arithmetic mean (1.94).
- The phrase ”transforming negative energy into positive energy and converting it into clairvoyance energy” came in the first place with a relative strength of (76.7%) and a weighted average of (2.3).
- In the second rank came the phrase “helping patients to adapt to others and communicate with them” with a relative strength of (69.7%) and a weighted average of (2.09).
- In the third rank، the phrase ”helps to raise the morale of patients and extract negative feelings” came with a relative strength of (66.7%) and a weighted average (2).
9- The results showed that the role-play came with a relative strength of (70%)، an average weight of (485)، and an arithmetic mean of (2.1):-
- The phrase “helps patients develop positive attitudes that increase through the patient’s awareness of the problem” came in the first order with a relative strength of (93.3%) and a weighted average of (1.87).
- The phrase “helps patients understand the reality around them” came in the second rank with a relative strength of (76.7%) and a weighted average of (2.3).
- In the third rank came the phrase “working to give patients new behavioral patterns in facing their problems” with a relative strength of (72.3%) and a weighted average of (2.2).
10- The results showed that the treatment groups came with a relative strength of (81%)، which is a high percentage، average weights (670) and a weighted average of ability (2.4).
- The phrase “providing sympathy، support and support in facing the problem within the therapeutic groups” came in the first order with a relative strength of (93.3%) and a weighted average of (2.8).
- It came in the second rank ”works to modify the behavior of social patients and their sense of rejection” with a relative strength of (90%) and a weighted average of (2.7).
11- The results showed that the obstacles that reduce the feeling of social stigma among patients with mental disorders came with a relative strength of (72.5%)، and an average of (500) weights، with a general average of (2.2):
- First rank was the phrase “there are no sufficient training courses to qualify social workers” with a relative strength of (93.3%) weighted average of (2.8)،
- And in the second rank came the phrase “the lack of sufficient training courses for social workers” with a relative strength of (82.7%). With a weighted average (2).
- And in the third rank came the phrase ”weak social-statistical communication with the hospital’s therapeutic work team”، with a relative strength of (76.6%) and a weighted average of (2.3).
